BA (Psychology, Economics) the combined majors in economics and psychology offers students the opportunity to integrate the study of economics with psychology These interlinked disciplines have their own exclusive areas of expertise with conceptual and methodological specializations which helps the student to have a clear understanding with regard to their possibilities. While providing the opportunity for an integrated approach, this course provides ample scope to learn the discipline of economics and psychology in depth where students can major either in the discipline of economics or psychology for further studies.

The program offers an eclectic mix of electives that promotes interdisciplinary academic engagement without compromising on discipline-specific identities. In the third year, students will be awarded the Undergraduate degree with Economics and Psychology as the majors. After the successful completion of the three-year degree programme, the students have the option to do an honors programme/honors programme with research either in Psychology or Economics. Option for ability enhancement course is restricted to French/German/Spanish/Additional English only.

 

 

 

 

 

 
 

The Master of Science Clinical Psychology programme is a dedicated, full-time two-year program offered by the Department of Psychology at CHRIST, BYC. Its primary objective is to equip students with the necessary skills to become effective scientist-practitioners in the fields of psychology and psychotherapy. This program features a structured curriculum that fosters learning through a blend of core theoretical courses, practical skill-based training,

and valuable internships, all while nurturing scientific research abilities. Moreover, students are presented with opportunities to expand their knowledge in allied mental health disciplines like psychiatry and pharmacology through supplementary courses. Additionally, the program promotes the development of socially responsible citizens by encouraging engagement in community service initiatives.

 

 

 

The PhD in Psychology helps the research scholar to have a better insight about the behavioral and mental process of the human beings. The course work emphasizes on the various tools and techniques used in research and also provides deeper knowledge about the quantitative and qualitative analysis in research. PhD programme in Psychology encourages research Scholars to conduct research in the areas like Social Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Cross –Cultural Psychology and Social Cognition. The BSc Psychology Honours offered by CHRIST (Deemed to be University) in Bannerghatta Road Campus | Yeshwanthpur Campus | Kengeri Campus with non-core subjects like Artificial Intelligence and Bio-chemistry is designed to meet the increasing demand for Psychologists in the diverse professional fields. The syllabus builds critical and creative thinking among students and explores the various disciplines of psychology. The curriculum develops ambitious psychologists who can make a difference in psychology and beyond.  Drawing from the recommendations of the American Psychological Association, The British Psychological Society and the University Grants Commission, this program integrates both natural science and social science disciplines, requiring students to take courses from diverse disciplines.

In the third year, students will be awarded the Undergraduate Degree with English and Psychology as the majors.

After the successful completion of the three-year degree programme, the students have the option to do an honors programme/honors programme with research either in Psychology or English. They can take an informed decision to major in any one of the disciplines for further studies.

 

 

 

 

 

Duration: 4 years 

The B.Sc. Clinical Psychology (Hons.) offered by CHRIST (Deemed to be University) in Yeshwanthpur campus is a Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) approved programme. It will be a regular four-year program without any midway entry and exit, owing to the professional nature of the course and an indispensable requirement for holistic training. This course is designed to prepare professionals under a tier system for clinical psychology in which they are at the first level and work under the supervision of trained Clinical Psychologists.

Program Objective:

The program is designed to enable students to demonstrate an understanding of the basic principles, concepts, and theoretical frameworks that define psychology as a discipline. The program specifically focuses on the application of psychological theories and concepts to real-world situations. The program facilitates students to explain and evaluate the scientific methods used in psychological research, including data collection, analysis, and interpretation of findings. Finally, it focuses on the holistic development of the student through the incorporation of curricular aspects with personal growth.

 

Program Objective:

The M.A. Clinical Psychology offered by CHRIST (Deemed to be University) in Yeshwanthpur campus is a Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) approved programme. The program is designed to enable students to demonstrate an understanding of general and clinical psychology principles, theories, and techniques, proficiency in diagnosis, assessment, and intervention strategies in various mental health disorders, ethical awareness, and adherence to professional codes of conduct. In addition, Students will be able to review and analyse scientific literature, develop research proposals, conduct research, and disseminate findings. Finally, it focuses on the holistic development of the student through the incorporation of curricular aspects with personal growth.

Highlight: 

Candidates who satisfactorily complete a 2-year. M.A. (Clinical Psychology) can register with RCI as “Clinical Psychologist” under CRR and function independently as a trained professional in the field. 
Graduates of M.A. (Clinical Psychology) and M.Phil. Clinical Psychology may apply for entry into a 3-year Psy.D. Clinical Psychology program, if they meet the eligibility criteria
