The MCom programme is designed to provide students with advanced, specialised knowledge in core commerce subjects, enhanced by creativity and problem-solving skills through innovative pedagogy and hands-on activities. In response to the evolving demands of the corporate world, the curriculum includes digital skills training in areas such as computer programming, data analytics and visualisation, and generative AI. These competencies are developed through courses like Data Visualisation and Dashboarding, Python Programming for Data Analysis, and Business Analytics. Additionally, industry-relevant certifications in Financial Modelling using Excel and SAP are offered as supplementary courses. To further enrich the learning experience, the programme includes weekly Corporate and Academic Training sessions and Personality Development workshops aimed at holistic skill development. Students gain practical experience through a semester-long corporate or teaching internship, complemented by a 30-hour social sensitisation programme, all part of the programme's commitment to experiential learning. 

Furthermore, students have the opportunity to enhance their professional qualifications by enrolling in certifications such as the CMA (offered by IMA, USA), CISI (offered by CISI, UK), and courses available through the Bloomberg lab.

PhD degree program in commerce is to prepare experienced business professionals to generate use and share knowledge about teaching- learning, human development and to collaborate with others to solve critical educational and human problems in a diverse global community. The program is designed to integrate field experience and academic study through vigorous coursework and research, allowing scholars continuously apply knowledge and skill in field setting and generate practical, relevant questions for issues needing further study.       

 

 

 

The programme is designed to build strong foundation skills required in administering the Business Enterprises Core functions such as Accounting, Finance, Taxation, Marketing and Human Resources including exposure to digital skills in these areas. As per National Education Policy (2020), the programme involves six semesters involving Core courses, Skill Enhancement Courses, Vocational courses and Ability Enhancement Courses

The BCOM programme empowers students to explore a wide range of interests, including Finance, Accounting, Marketing, Banking and Taxation. The curriculum inspires students to delve deeper into specialized areas of interest,  develop expertise and a competitive edge. In addition, the programme involves a plethora of co-curricular and extracurricular activities which aim to hone leadership, communication and team-building skills among students. 

 

 

 

 
 

The programme aims to develop industry-ready Accounting and Tax professionals by honing skills in in-demand tools and techniques and standard accounting practices. The programme provides a solid theoretical foundation for critical components like Financial Reporting, Goods and Services Tax (GST), Customs Procedure, Transfer Pricing Methods and Cross Border Tax Compliance issues. The curriculum is designed to inculcate practical skills with a strong theoretical foundation to handle compliance issues with regulatory aspects.

During the programme, students will also be trained for the EA (Enrolled Agent) Certification Exam offered by the Internal Revenue Service (Revenue Department) of the United States.

This will enable students to pursue additional career opportunities and provide exposure to global tax practices. The training will be provided at additional cost. The students who successfully complete one year (two semesters) with the required number of credits have an option to exit the Programme, they will be awarded a Certificate/. The students who successfully complete two years (four semesters) with required credits and opt to exit the programme will be awarded an UG Diploma in Accountancy and Taxation.

The Programme involves a plethora of co-curricular and extra-curricular activities which aim to hone leadership, communication and team-building skills among students.

 

 

 

 

 
 

BCom (Finance and Investment) programme is designed for students who wish to acquire advanced knowledge in Finance and Investment and prepares them for a career within the broad frame of the financial sector, including profiles related to Investment Banking, Financial Management, Equity and Debt Management, Commercial Banking, Insurance Underwriting, Risk Management and Management Consulting. The programme’s curriculum is set at an ‘advanced’ level for finance and investment. 

The programme equips students with skills to undertake financial analysis and create and comprehend investment tactics to navigate the intricate landscape of global finance and investments adeptly. It nurtures students with expertise in specific domains such as stock-market investment and trading, portfolio management, private equity, equity research, equity management and alternative investment. Students become adept at making financial decisions as individuals, companies or venture capital firms by using knowledge of Corporate Finance, Corporate Valuation, Venture Financing and Advanced Financial Modelling. The cutting-edge curriculum, aligned with professional qualifications, immersive internship opportunities, industry-focused workshops, and capstone projects, enhances students' employability. The programme aspires to hone and develop students to occupy strategic positions and management consulting roles in global finance and investment domains.

It also aims to kindle the passion for finance and investment in students by using experiential learning techniques and case study methodology and also instills ethical values in students to become responsible global citizens. 

A unique feature of BCOM F&I program is the Special Finance & Investment training tracks (Three Levels spread across three semesters) - Semester 1 - Foundation Level (Mandatory for all students ); Semester 2 - Intermediate Level (Mandatory for all students ); Semester 3 - Advance level (Optional)   These tracks, led by industry practitioners, cover advanced topics in the areas of Quantitative Finance, Financial Modelling, Equity Research,  Technical Analysis etc. equipping students with skills that help them prepare for Global Finance and Investment certifications, and enhance their internship opportunities.  Students who do not opt for the advanced course in Semester 3 must take CISI Level 1 to ensure they receive comprehensive industry preparation. These Special training tracks are offered at an additional nominal fee.

 

 

 

 

 
 

The BCom (Applied Finance and Analytics) programme is designed with a dual focus on Finance and Analytics. This programme is specially designed to develop student’s analytical skills and enable them to think critically when making financial decisions. The curriculum focuses on combining the knowledge of Finance, Economics and Statistics using Machine Learning Algorithms. The students will be able to further boost their abilities in analysing financial data given the backdrop of economic trends and also build invaluable skills. Students learn advanced courses across finance catering to careers in Corporate Finance, Mergers and Acquisitions, Business Valuation and Modelling, Investment Management, Risk Management, Financial Planning, Private equity Wealth Management and Management Consulting. On the Analytics front students will learn to code programs and handle complex data sets with algorithms. 

The students learn to use tools such as Python, R, VBA, Power BI, and SQL and develop skills to interpret and convert data into valuable insights, which they use to create business strategies and drive business decisions. The students will also take a few courses on data science techniques such as predictive modelling, optimisation techniques, advanced statistics, and machine learning. In the end, students learn about visualisation and presentation of insights. The course is systematically designed with capstone projects specifically to cater to analytics-based courses in various domains such as - Retail, Web and social media, Supply chain and logistics, healthcare, Banking, Insurance, Finance and Accounting and Start-ups where industry partners mentor and evaluate the projects along with faculty mentors. At the end of the programme, the student is ready to face the futuristic world with two powerful skill sets pertaining to a highly growing field of Finance and Analytics.
