Programme Overview

About the Programme

The combined majors in Psychology and Economics offer students the opportunity to integrate the study of economics with psychology through an interdisciplinary academic framework. These interlinked disciplines possess distinct conceptual and methodological specializations that help students develop a comprehensive understanding of human behavior, economic systems, and decision-making processes. The Psychology component introduces students to the fundamental processes underlying human behavior and familiarizes them with emerging branches such as Developmental Psychology, Social Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, Industrial Psychology & Consumer Behavior, Health Psychology, and Positive Psychology. The programme also includes practicum and skill-building courses, along with opportunities to undertake research projects and internships. The Economics component provides in-depth exposure to microeconomics, macroeconomics, econometrics, public policy, international economics, and behavioral economics. Through research training, data analysis, field exposure, and applied learning, students develop analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills suitable for higher education and diverse professional pathways in psychology, economics, behavioral sciences, research, analytics, and public policy.
