The BCom Finance and Accountancy programme at CHRIST University is designed to nurture future-ready professionals in the areas of accounting, auditing, taxation, corporate finance, financial reporting, governance and advisory services. The programme is especially suitable for students who aspire to pursue the Chartered Accountancy course of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India while completing their undergraduate degree. Over the years, the Department has developed an in-house CA facilitation centre that supports students through structured mentoring, academic guidance, training and professional grooming. The facilitation team works closely with the undergraduate programme so that students are able to balance their BCom academic learning with their CA preparation journey. The programme aims to develop professionals who can contribute to organisations through responsible financial reporting, sound audit practices, ethical decision-making, due diligence, taxation knowledge, corporate governance and sustainable business practices. Along with core commerce learning, students are also exposed to employability-oriented skill enhancement courses such as Advanced Excel, Tableau, Python, Portfolio Management, Six Sigma and Financial Modelling, as mentioned in the existing programme page. The programme is structured to support students in pursuing CA Foundation and CA Intermediate examinations alongside their undergraduate studies. Further progression in the CA pathway, including practical training, will be subject to ICAI regulations, examination outcomes and individual student progression.
